Robomech2019に参加しました

北九州開催だったRobomech2018から早一年。学生3名を連れてRobomech2018に参加してきました。

M2の坂田拓馬（Takuma Sakata）君が、「パーキンソン病患者のすくみ足抑制のための自己誘発的な力刺激を用いる新しい歩行器システムの提案」を発表、同じくM2の福宿将士（Masashi Fukuyado）君が、「ロボットによる衣服操作のためのMask R-CNNを用いた複数衣服の認識」を発表しました。

 また、Robomech2019中の表彰式では、この3月まで九州工業大学社会ロボット具現化センターの初代センター長であった浦先生が、日本機械学会ロボティクス・メカトロニクス部門から「功績賞」を、Robomech2018実行委員長であった私が、同部門から部門貢献賞をいただくことができました。Robomech2018の運営に関わって頂いた全ての方々、また発表・ご参加をいただいた皆様に改めて深く感謝申し上げます。

上記写真にあるように、 同じ部門貢献表彰を、同じ東大JSK OBの相山教授が受けておられたのも個人的に嬉しかったです。浦先生、相山先生、その他多くの若手を始めとする受賞者の皆様、おめでとうございました！

オープンキャンパス2019は大賑わい / A Huge Audience in OpenCampus 2019

晴天に恵まれた今日、終日、たくさんの方に見学に来てもらうことができました。
Blessed with fine weather, there came a lot of people for our open campus throughout the day.

にぎわう学研都市の春 / Spring in the busy Kitakyushu Science & Research Park

北九州学研都市にまた春がやってきました
Spring has come to Kitakyushu Science & Research Park (KSRP) again.

春休みも、そして入学式も終わり、たくさんの学生が学研都市に戻ってきました。
The spring break and the entrance ceremony were over, and many students has returned to KSRP.

学食 / Cafeteria

学研都市に隣接するひびきの小学校の新一年生のクラス数は、なんと8クラスだそうです！ちなみに、2年生は7クラス、3年生は6クラス！　毎日学研都市を小学生が元気に通っていくので、これもまた賑やかです。
The new first grade of Hibikino Elementary School adjacent to KSRP has eight classes! In addition, the seventh grade has seven classes and the third grade has six classes! Glad to see primary school children go through KSRP every day.

4/1に、池本周平先生が人間知能システム工学専攻の、私と同じ人間知能創成講座の准教授に着任しました。これからのコラボが大変楽しみです！

九工大は5月に110周年を迎えます / Kyutech will celebrate its 110th anniversary this May

九工大は国立大学ですが、その前身である明治専門学校は、1909年に、安川敬一郎氏が私財を投じて創った私学でした。1921年に、4年生国立大学となりました。

Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) is a national university. Its predecessor, Meiji College of Technology, was a private school that was founded in 1909 by Keiichiro Yasukawa's private property. In 1921 it became a national university.

2019年のオープンキャンパスは5月11日 / Open campus of our Campus (Kyutech, LSSE) is May 11 (Sat).

九工大若松キャンパスのオープンキャンパスは5月11日（土）です。
まだ当分若松キャンパスホームページの今年のオープンキャンパスページの公開には時間がかかりそうですが、ともかくオープンキャンパスは5月11日（土）です。
例年、10AM～4PMの開催です。

柴田研への第1回推薦入試を考えている受験生から、一般の方まで、ぜひ柴田研やスマートライフケア共創工房の見学にお越しください。
The open campus of our Campus (Kyutech, LSSE) is May 11 (Sat). It seems it takes some time for this year's open campus webpage, while the open campus will be on Saturday, May 11th. It is held every year from 10 AM to 4 PM. From the students considering the first recommendation entrance examination to Shibata Lab to the general public, please come visit to Shibata lab and also Smart Life Care Co-Creation Lab by all means.
